November on the river - Narrowsburg Bridge

What if… instead of turning the clocks forward an hour we could turn them off for a while?

What if… instead of turning the clocks forward an hour we could turn them off for a while?

We’re nearing the end of the year and you know what that means…

When the day dawns over our corner of the world, it now brings with it the promise of a slightly lower temperature and a still, pleasant morning to come. It’s November, we’re officially running on standard time, and the world is getting ready to tuck itself in for the season. What was, not that long ago, glowing in the light of a summer sun is now starting to fade in the chill of the winter and the promise of a first kiss of snow. There’s a cold breeze constantly in the air and the days are shorter now.

Isn’t it glorious?

There is something magical about the Delaware River this time of year. I know, I know, I talk about the majesty of the river constantly. But I can’t help it if our beautiful little slice of paradise is beautiful all year long. Despite its beauty, now that it’s quieted down, we are definitely missing your laughter and your adventure. Your presence with us all summer has been a blessing, a snap shot in our history that, if we could, we’d stay paused on forever. And while we can’t, we’ll be taking those memories we made all summer with us in to the new year.

With the clocks running ahead, there’s a laundry list of things we’re looking forward to.

Even as we get settled in to our winter blues, we are looking ahead to 2022. A new season is right around the corner, our family is expanding, and the ground under our feet is home to a safe space for people to come and share their cheer. This summer, we’re excited to share our little haven with new eyes, both young and old, in both of our own family and yours.

By the end of November, we’re already counting the minutes down until May. Looking forward to our next season also allows us to look forward to new friends and new adventure, and to all of the fun things we’ll be able to do! Whether it’s looking forward or looking back, don’t forget to look at Lander’s River Trips!

Is that a silver bell I hear in the distance?

Now that the 2021 season is over, we can also now focus on the holidays! It’s about time to deck the halls, scoop up those dreidels, and share the love with our friends and family over great food and even better gifts. If you’re looking for a great gift for those adventure enthusiasts in your life, don’t forget to give us a call to order a gift certificate – the quickest way to provide a little adventure to those you love!

With a Lander’s gift certificate, you’re giving more than just an adventure. You’re giving a getaway, a chance to learn, and an unforgettable experience. Camping, river adventuring, or even just strolling around the grounds, a chance to be outside with those you love is the gift that keeps on giving.

One last thing before we go…

Our 2021 season is in our rearview and we’re sad to see it go! Maybe you can help us keep the magic going until we’re able to meet again? If you and your loved ones came out for some fun in the sun with us this year, don’t forget to tag us in any videos or photos you took. We can be found on Facebook  and Instagram.  We’d love to see how you spent your time with us – and we can’t wait to see you again soon!

We’ll see you on the river!
