two men in raft on river

A socially distanced Father’s Day adventure!

While things aren’t entirely back to normal, some things also haven’t changed.

It’s been a beautiful June here on the river so far. The temperature has been mild, the water has been clear and refreshing, and we’re so excited to be able to see everyone back on our shores enjoying the fresh air. We are still practicing social distancing measures, and are doing our very best to keep everyone safe as they shake off those quarantine cobwebs and get their water legs back under them.

With all of that in mind, we are really looking forward to one of our favorite holidays of the year (not that we don’t love them all). That’s right. Father’s Day is coming around again. Bob Lander, the founder and first operator of Lander’s River Trips, was a phenomenal father, a loving grandfather, and a wonderful man. Even after sixty-five years, his legacy lives on in our beautiful campsites and our gorgeous seat on the water. We’re honoring him, and every other father out there, this Father’s Day – and are looking forward to celebrating this special holiday with you and your family once again.

It’s a super special Father’s Day this year.

This Father’s Day, in particular, is super important. After some of the scariest months in recent history, it’s important to remember all of the things we hold dear. Including our fathers. And the ability to go outside. And nothing goes together better than fathers and the outdoors.

A trip to the river sounds great and all…but what would Dad do?

There is no better gift you can give your father than a day of nice, quiet relaxation. Let’s face it, he’s been cooped up inside for the last couple of months and he’s probably going a little stir crazy. Gifting him a trip down the river (or even some outdoor time away from the backyard) could do wonders for his mental and physical health. Open air, as we have discussed time and time again, is great for yourself – mind, body, and soul – and we can definitely provide the fresh air.

Plus, it’ll do the entire family some good to get outside and get moving! A Lander’s trip for your dad on Father’s Day can actually be the gift that keeps on giving for the whole family.

A river trip for Father’s Day sounds great – how do I book one?

You can call ahead or check out our website to book your Father’s Day trip today! We’ll see you, and your dad, on the water!

River tip: If Dad’s going to be on the river for a while it’s best to pack some snacks and let him be – he’s had a long winter and he needs some time to recover from his overlong hibernation.
