Woodstock 50

Peace, Love, & Woodstock’s 50th

What if…we could take a step back in time to enjoy the peace, love, and rock n’ roll that made Woodstock such an iconic moment in time?

How cool would it be if we could build a time machine, Back to the Future style, and rock out to some out of this world music?

While we can’t take you back in time (trust me, if we could hop into a DeLorean and go to Woodstock we’d take all of you with us) but we can absolutely help you enjoy the taste of the past that’s being held at Bethel Woods. This coming weekend, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is hosting a spectacular 50th birthday party for the biggest music event in history – with thousands of guests expected to show up for at least a day from Thursday through Sunday.

Lander’s River Trips has got your travel pass to this amazing experience.

Our beautiful Narrowsburg campground is less than a half hour from this historic Bethel Woods site where Woodstock in 1969 was held and where, this year, we’ll be jamming along to old and new music as we pay homage to the music patrons who came before us. Our gorgeous campsites (both Narrowsburg and Skinners Falls) are going to be home for the weekend to some spectacular music lovers.

We will be offering shuttle services to the festival and back, daily.

Lander’s is so much more than a campground for the music lovers in all of us. We will be offering shuttles back and forth for $25 per day per round trip from both campsites for the duration of the weekend’s long festival and have plenty of space for you and your family and friends to relax after a crazy day of festivalling or to regroup before you head back out in the morning.

The Lander’s shuttle will be leaving the campgrounds at 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and will be leaving at 4:00 pm on Sunday. We planned these out so that you and your gang will have plenty of time to get to the festival site, grab a bite and a drink, and get settled for the show. We have also garnered bus permits – making it quicker for our guests on the bus to get in and out of the venue thanks to the different entrance set up. Be sure to call and make a reservation for the shuttle 1-800-252-3925.

We will, of course, spend the afternoon rock n’ rolling down the rapids before the show – join us.

You’ll have time to run the rapids before the evening festivities. Join us and raft, kayak, or canoe the day away. Then you’ll be ready for Woodstocks 50th. I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to John Fogerty’s 50th anniversary performance on Sunday at 6:00. And, of course, who isn’t screaming already for a chance to see Ringo Starr, Santana, and more as they take center stage this weekend to celebrate. And if you get tired of that amazing lineup, walking through the special anniversary Woodstock and The Sixties exhibit in the Bethel Woods museum is the perfect way to end your Woodstock adventure.

Here at Lander’s, we are really looking forward to this weekend

Woodstock holds a special place in our heart as our very own patriarch got the chance to pump gas for a few Woodstock performers back in the day as they rolled out for the festival site. Since it’s such a big deal, Lander’s will be holding a little photo contest. Stay with us this weekend and tag us in a photo of you and your gang at the festival and we’ll enter you in for a chance to win something really cool – the winner will win a river trip for two and shoutouts on the Lander’s social media accounts.  We want to make your Woodstock 50 memories part of our family story!

We know where we’ll be this weekend – and we hope to see you there!

River tip: While you’re hanging with us for this Woodstock weekend – why don’t you and your party take some time to take a trip down the river? It’s the perfect way to unwind after the show or get prepped for the sounds of rock n’ roll.

This month’s river deal: Celebrate the dog days of summer! Take $5 off a 5 mile tubing trip all month long. (Applies to full priced trips only. No other discounts apply.)
